SoC :: Skerdi

He has no powerful weapon or supernatural offensive power to be proud of, and he also has a very weak physical defense. The only thing that serves as his trump card in the war is Pierre, the embodiment of his fear in physical form. Pierre appears as an ink black matter that has no permanent feature except for the mask with a ruby-red eye. As Skerdi's embodiment of fear, Pierre becomes stronger as Skerdi's fear grew. It also weakens when Skerdi gains confidence.

Gentle and calm, Skerdi is often mistaken for a woman. He is very shy and severely lacks self-confidence, often claiming that he can not do things that he is told. He easily gets scared and is known for being faint hearted. He gets nervous at the slightest creaking of doors and gets even much more scared at the sight of running rats.
Despite being an Arean, he is not as violent in nature as the others. He is a pacifist and prefers to play defensive rather than offensive. He easily pities his enemies and cannot look at the sight of violence.

Skerdi used to be the youngest in a family of heretic Dark Mages. He showed no signs of talent in sorcery nor hope in physical strength . Because of that, he was treated badly by his own family and became their laughing stock. Skerdi can't endure the harshness imposed upon him and one day escaped from their territory and fleed to a neutral kingdom. At the time Ivalina sealed the two warring factions, Skerdi remained in Zion as he was under the care of a neutral kingdom, Earthra.
During the Age of Peace, Skerdi continued to live among the Earthrans. As he did not pose any threat like the other Areans, the Earthrans welcomed him and let him stay with them, treating him as one of their own. He lived happily with them and has grown accustomed to the Earthrans way of peace.
Deep in his heart, he knew that one day, the Areans will be freed and he will have to face his past. And the Great Eclipse came. He was bitterly torn that if he joins the Earthrans, he will have to face his own people…but if he joins Ares, he will have to face his friends in Earthra.
He had to make a choice. And his choice was….to join Ares. He believed that if he joins their side and show them the ways of peace, he would be able to convince them too and the war would end.
It failed.
He was never able to convince them.
What a foolish dream.
Instead, he was only dragged in to the horrors of war. After witnessing all the deaths around him, his spirit was crushed, his heart torn asunder, and his beliefs faltered. He fell into deep despair and grew fearful of everything around him. Everything. Unknowingly, this fear gave birth to Pierre, the embodiment of his own fear. At that moment, Pierre destroyed everything that caused Skerdi's fear whether it be friend or foe.
Destroy. Destroy. Destroy.
The generals of Ares witnessed the rampage and agreed that his power can prove to be useful. They promoted him to the rank of Commander. Shortly after, they realized his lack of leadership skills so they never gave him troops of his own. Instead, they only kept him for special offense/defense purposes but he can give commands to lower ranks if necessary.
